Qualifications

• Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, MFT, Psychology, or related field.
• Missouri clinical licensure (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent) required; supervisor status preferred.
• Minimum 2 years post-licensure clinical experience; supervision or field instruction preferred.
• Experience in outpatient, school-based, SUD, or residential settings with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical supervision, mentorship to licensed clinicians, provisionally licensed staff, and interns.
• Support staff with assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, crisis intervention, discharge planning, and complex behavioral health cases.
• Facilitate individual and group supervision meetings in accordance with licensing and ethical standards.
• Monitor documentation quality, compliance, timeliness, and adherence to payer, regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards.
• Conduct chart reviews and support quality improvement, accreditation readiness, and documentation training initiatives.
• Reinforce evidence-based, trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and recovery-oriented care practices.
• Support clinicians working in outpatient, residential, school-based, and substance use disorder treatment settings.
• Assist staff with ASAM criteria, care coordination, continuity of care, relapse prevention, and crisis response.
• Collaborate with program leadership regarding workflow, productivity, operational needs, and staff development.
• Support onboarding, training, professional development, and clinician performance improvement efforts.
• Promote collaboration, accountability, professionalism, ethical practice, and client safety across programs.
• Assist with risk management, mandated reporting, safety concerns, confidentiality, and compliance with behavioral health regulations and Joint Commission standards.

Saint Louis Counseling operates eight offices throughout metropolitan St. Louis. In addition, its School Partnership Program (SPP) therapists provide onsite services to students at more than 100 schools as well as children who are homeless living at area shelters.

Job Summary

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of St. Louis, St. Louis Counseling and Queen of Peace Center, is seeking a Clinical Supervisor. The supervisor will provide clinical leadership, consultation, and oversight across outpatient mental health, school‑based behavioral health, residential treatment, and substance use disorder services for Saint Louis Counseling. The role ensures clinical quality, documentation compliance, risk management, and consistent implementation of evidence‑based and trauma‑informed care across programs. The Clinical Supervisor provides reflective supervision, case consultation, documentation review, and support for complex clinical and crisis situations for licensed clinicians, provisionally licensed therapists, and interns. The position collaborates with program and operational leadership to strengthen compliance, accreditation readiness, interdisciplinary coordination, and effective clinical workflows. The annual compensation starts at $60,000.

Overview and Responsibilities

Knowledge and Experience Requirements

• Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or related behavioral health field required.
• Current Missouri clinical licensure (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent) required; approved clinical supervisor status preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience required. Experience providing clinical supervision, consultation, or field instruction preferred.
• Prior experience in outpatient behavioral health, school-based services, substance use disorder treatment, and/or residential treatment settings strongly preferred, including work with children, adolescents, adults, families, and co‑occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
