  • Be at the LCP or LP level to provide supervision with Kansas BSRB.
  • Prefer minimum of two years’ experience.
  • Prefer previous supervisory experience.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Must pass a drug screen.
  • Must pass an MVR, KBI and Child Abuse and Neglect Central Registry Clearance check.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Job Description

The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for implementing and supporting the delivery of the clinical services to the Outpatient Program.

  • Collaborates with Director of Outpatient Services and peers to design and modify services and evidenced based practices at the for-Outpatient Mental Health Services.
  • Is responsible for the implementation of the clinical services/practices of their assigned program.
  • Directly oversees psychologists and therapists regarding job functions, competencies, quality, and accuracy of job services.
  • Responsible for assigning referrals psychological assessment or mental health assessments or therapy.
  • Treatment plan and crisis/safety plan as assigned when filling in for therapist.
  • Guardianship assessments.
  • Competency assessments.
  • Works with direct reports regarding annual goal setting
  • Provides clinical direction and support for all staff who work with the clients of their assigned services. This is accomplished by role modeling, coaching and mentoring of direct care staff as they deliver the therapeutic services.
  • Providing staff with topics to enhance competency of providers.
  • May chairs weekly meetings in the absence of the Director.
  • Complete lower rate of psychological assessments than the Psychologist I billable hours.
  • Assigns referrals to psychologists and mental health therapists.
  • Maintains testing supplies (ordering and subscriptions).
  • May need to help keep snacks for clients on hand.
  • Be part of the hiring process and training of new staff.
  • Coordination with other behavioral health providers and third-party payors as needed.
  • May need to assist the coders/billers with information.
  • Participates in the Performance Improvement process to monitor the effectiveness, quality and timeliness of documentation, and overall client satisfaction of the program.
  • Provides input to policy/procedures and assures implementation.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, that may include occasional evenings and weekends to meet the needs of the program – knowing that this at times maybe more than a 40-hour job.
  • Reports critical incidents to DCF verbally within 12 hours and written within 24 hours.
  • Provide supervision for practicum/interns.
  • May reach our to colleges to recruit clinical psychology students.
  • Provides clinical supervision for LMLPs to work towards independent practice.
  • May need to fill in when staff leave.
  • Provide good communication to referral sources.
  • Reports unusual incidents through appropriate Risk Management, clinical and safety channels.
  • Implements Saint Francis Ministries policies and follows directives as required. Follows and adheres to all pertinent Saint Francis Ministries Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), rules, personnel policies, and procedures; related accreditation and licensure standards; and federal, state and local rules, statutes, regulations, and contractual terms.
  • Ensures clients’ rights are protected.
  • Is knowledgeable of and follows all safety procedures.
