The Village Family Services, Inc. in North Hollywood, CA seeks a Clinical Supervisor to lead and supervise our clinical team, ensure high-quality, compliant services, and support program collaboration across departments.

You will oversee supervision, training, and documentation, participate in agency-wide planning, and help maintain accreditation standards while delivering compassionate, recovery-oriented care to children, youth, and adults.

Qualifications

• LMFT/LCSW/PsyD with a Master's in psychology, counseling, social work or related field.
• Valid California clinical license for a minimum of two years.
• Minimum two years' experience supervising licensed and unlicensed clinicians providing intensive services.
• Experience in implementing treatment programs and knowledge of individual, group and family therapy.
• Strong communication, time management and organizational skills.
• Skilled in engaging diverse individuals and groups to achieve goals.
• Self-directed, problem solving, and able to manage multiple demands.
• Strong leadership and ability to work in a Multidisciplinary Team.

Responsibilities

Job description

The Village is accredited by the International Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) for its Adoptions, Foster Care, Mental Health, Wraparound, and Drop-In Center services. We deliver evidenced-based behavioral health services to children, youth and adults, and has long been at the forefront of culturally sensitive foster care and adoption services.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Supervisor to join our team. This role is crucial in overseeing the delivery of high-quality clinical services, ensuring that our clients receive the best possible care.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Clinical Supervisor is primarily responsible for providing clinical and administrative supervision (e.g., client oversight, case consultation, timecard approval, productivity reports) and support for any mental health, linkages, or other adjunct services provided in collaboration with any department or program within the agency including MH, FFA, ISFC, Residential, Drop-In Center, Adoptions or other administrative as needed. The Clinical Supervisor position is an integral part of the management team and successfully collaborates with colleagues and programs to ensure overall program and agency effectiveness. The Clinical Supervisor is accountable for ensuring delivery of exceptional services that are focused on the client needs while also upholding TVFS, DMH, and accreditation standards. The Clinical Supervisor is also responsible for ensuring accurate billing, documentation, and appropriate caseloads. This person is responsible for improving the overall agency functioning and using clinical and administrative knowledge to improve the way services are delivered, billed, and documented to every client TVFS serves. This position requires great flexibility and ability to adapt to the changing horizon in mental health service delivery in LA County DMH.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

1. LMFT, LCSW, or PsyD and a Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work or related field

2. Valid California clinical license for a minimum of two years

3. Minimum two years' experience supervising licensed and unlicensed clinicians providing intensive services for emotionally disturbed children and their caregivers preferred

4. Experience in implementing treatment programs, knowledge of and skills in areas of individual, group, and family therapy

6. Strong communication, time management and organizational skills

7. Skilled in engaging, motivating and working with diverse individuals and groups to accomplish established goals

8. Self-directed, efficient and effective in problem solving and managing multiple demands and objectives

9. Strong leadership skills and able to work as a part of a Multidisciplinary Team

10. Strong clinical understanding and the ability to multitask and manage areas of supervision including, but not limited to, compliance with documentation timeline policies, client service hours expectation maintenance, caseload management

11. Evidence Based Practices knowledge and experience preferred

12. Proficient with Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health (DMH) clinical paperwork, Child Welfare Continuum Care Reform, and a philosophy of Recovery, Wellness and Integrative Care

13. Ability to quickly change course when needed to maintain service delivery while adhering to agency contract needs and business requirements

14. This is a hybrid position with in-office work as directed by management, at minimum one day weekly and an evening rotation

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Provide on-going individual supervision of community-based therapists as assigned

2. Provide didactic trainings, group supervision as assigned

3. Recruit and train program staff; provide staff development

4. Oversee the delivery of quality clinical services and compliance with agency policy

5. Coordinate appropriate clinical practices and various intensity of services in collaboration with the appropriate staffing to meet client's treatment needs

6. Assist in the development of program policies and procedures to ensure agency compliance with funding sources

7. Interface with DCFS, DMH, court systems, schools, and other community liaisons

8. Experience with adolescents, foster care population and probation-referred clients

9. Ensure that client service hour expectations are met for direct report supervisees

10. Implement performance action when the supervisee falls below 90% of the expectation

11. Ensure that all paperwork is complete, accurate, and documentation deadlines are met

12. Provide 24-hour availability and crisis intervention to supervisees; to clients on an as-needed support basis

13. Participate in supervisors meetings, staff meetings, agency wide meetings, utilization review meetings, in-service trainings, morale and team building events

14. Arrange work schedule or required hours including evening hours coverage to the benefit of the outpatient department with the approval of the outpatient director

15. Comply with agency guidelines, policies and procedures

16. Comply with applicable professional licensing requirements and ethical standards including maintaining required supervision CE hours

17. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
