Job summary

University of Northern Iowa is seeking a licensed mental health professional to provide clinical services and oversee training within the Counseling Center. The role includes crisis management, triage, and a diverse caseload with referrals to campus or community services.

The candidate will support the Director with clinical supervision, ensure compliance with ethical and accreditation standards, and contribute to program development in a collaborative university setting.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a mental health field is required.
• Active Iowa mental health licensure is required.
• At least three years of clinical experience related to counseling or assessment and diagnosis.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical services and training oversight to ensure quality, ethical, effective care aligning with The Counseling Center's model.
• Develop and promote methods for high-quality clinical performance and client services across the Counseling Center.
• Assist the Director with clinical supervision, ensuring compliance with ethics and accreditation standards.
• Carry a clinical caseload including triage screening, risk assessment, crisis management, and individual/group/couples counseling; provide psychoeducation and referrals as appropriate.
