Job summary

Alignerr is seeking an experienced Clinical Study Manager to blend trial operations with AI training initiatives. You will oversee timelines, budgets, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver rigorous, real-world data for AI systems.

This fully remote hourly contract offers flexible hours (10–40 per week) and the chance to influence healthcare research at the intersection of clinical science and machine learning.

What You'll Do

• Oversee clinical trial timelines, milestones, and deliverables to keep studies on track and on budget
• Manage study financials — including forecasting, budget tracking, and vendor reconciliation across multiple partners
• Coordinate with CROs, investigative sites, and internal teams to ensure smooth, high-quality study execution
• Identify operational risks early, resolve issues proactively, and keep all stakeholders aligned throughout the trial lifecycle
• Apply your clinical operations knowledge to help evaluate and improve AI systems trained on healthcare and research data

Who You Are

• Experienced in clinical trial project management with a strong command of budgets, timelines, and regulatory expectations
• Skilled at managing CROs, external vendors, and research partners across complex, multi-workstream studies
• A natural problem-solver — you anticipate issues before they escalates and know how to keep things moving
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to juggle multiple priorities without dropping the ball
• A clear communicator who keeps cross-functional teams informed and aligned

Nice to Have

• Experience with data annotation, data quality review, or evaluation workflows
• Familiarity with AI tools or clinical data management platforms
• Background working across therapeutic areas or global multi-site trials
