Job summary

Cal Poly Pomona Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a Student Assistant to join a clinical study project within the Nutrition and Food Science Department. The role involves hands-on sample handling, participant coordination, and data documentation on-site at Cal Poly Pomona in Pomona, CA.

Training and collaboration with faculty and staff are provided. We offer a structured student employment opportunity with a base pay of $18.00 per hour, and the project includes a 70-hour stipend at the same rate.

Qualifications

• Strong interest in food science and nutrition.
• Willing to work with a group in-person.

Responsibilities

• Participate in training sessions related to clinical study procedures.
• Prepare, package, label, and organize food samples for distribution.
• Coordinate and distribute study foods and materials to participants and maintain records.
• Assist with participant scheduling, visits, data collection, and documentation.
• Follow PI and research team instructions to ensure study objectives.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of food prep areas and equipment.
