Clinical Statistical Programmer - Remote

About the Role: We are seeking a Clinical Statistical Programmer to join our Medical team. The role involves developing, maintaining, documenting, and validating programs for Clinical investigations.

This is a remote position, allowing you to work from most locations within the United States.

Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze datasets, statistical tables, listings, and figures supporting Clinical phases, collaborating with biostatisticians and programmers, and ensuring validation of programs.
  2. Perform data exports and produce programmed outputs as needed for Clinical investigations, ensuring timely delivery.
  3. Establish specifications for analysis datasets, summaries, and listings, including creating analysis dataset specifications and working with biostatisticians for clarity.
  4. Work closely with the Clinical team to formulate Case Report Forms (CRFs), ensuring effective variable and database structure.
  5. Produce clear, well-documented programs, develop macros, and debug programs when necessary.
  6. Support multiple studies simultaneously, participate in team meetings, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  7. Research data issues related to clinical study data and support data management and other teams as needed.
  8. Maintain knowledge of industry trends, regulatory requirements, and clinical trial terminology.
  9. Follow SOPs and policies, including training requirements.
  10. Participate in process improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a computer-related or research discipline or at least 5 years of SAS programming experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of professional SAS programming experience.
  • Strong knowledge of SAS (Base SAS, Macro Language, ODS, GRAPH, STAT).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Proven effectiveness in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to support multiple clinical trial projects concurrently.
  • Willingness to travel up to 5%.

Desired Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of SAS programming in a clinical trial environment or similar experience, with knowledge of statistical methods.
  • Experience with CDISC standards.
  • Additional skills such as R programming, Power BI, dashboards, data analytics, or process automation.

Remote work is permitted within the continental US and Canada, with proper approval and adherence to Gore’s policies. Note that Alaska, Hawaii, and Rhode Island are not eligible for new remote work arrangements.
