Job summary

QSAC is seeking a Clinical Staff Training Coordinator to train and supervise Behavior Intervention Specialists and QIDP across Day Hab programs. A BCBA or BCBA candidate is required, with travel across sites to implement training protocols.

The role focuses on supervising ABA-based interventions, developing training protocols, and supporting staff across all Day Hab sites in the region.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Special Education, Psychology, or related field.
• BCBA candidate or BCBA required.
• Experience in Applied Behavior Analysis and working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
• Experience in working with the adult developmental disabilities population.
• Knowledge and experience developing data-based curriculum goals and FBA-based behavior intervention plans.
• Minimum of two years’ experience supervising staff or working with autism/adults in developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Recommend clinical interventions to Behavior Intervention Specialists.
• Train, guide and supervise staff in applying ABA principles.
• Collaborate on functional behavior assessments with BIS.
• Develop behavior support plans and data collection systems with BIS.
• Review and update day habilitation plans, goals and progress notes.
• Support lifeplan development and goal setting.
• Maintain documentation and provide reports to supervisors.

Job Brief: The Clinical Staff Training Coordinator will be responsible for training and supervising Behavior Intervention Specialists (BIS) and Qualified Intellectual Disability Professionals (QIDP) in QSAC’s Day Habilitation Programs. BCBA candidate or BCBA required. Travel across all Day Hab sites, implement and monitor training protocols across all Day Hab sites.

The salary range for this position is $70,000-$80,000 annually.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Make recommendations to Behavior Intervention Specialists for clinical interventions.
• Train, guide and supervise staff in using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis.
• Collaborate with Behavior Intervention Specialists to conduct functional behavior assessments.
• Work with BIS’s to develop behavior support plans and data collection systems.
• Review day habilitation plans, behavior support plans, goals, and progress notes.
• Participate in the lifeplan process and goal development.
• Review and maintain documentation and provide reports to supervisors.
• Assist BIS’s/ QIDP’s in conducting in-service trainings.
• Develop training protocols and provide staff training across all sites
• Provide training and support to Behavior Intervention Specialists for development of proactive and reactive strategies/SCIP-R interventions and implementation
• Travel across all Day Hab sites in assigned region, at times traveling to sites outside of the region.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• A Master’s Degree in Special Education, Psychology, or a related field.
• BCBA candidate or BCBA required
• Experience in Applied Behavior Analysis and working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
• Experience in working with the adult developmental disabilities population.
• Knowledge and experience in the development of data-based curriculum goals and the ability to develop behavior intervention plans based on functional behavior assessment (FBA).
• Minimum of two years’ experience either working directly with individuals with autism spectrum disorders and/or adults with intellectual & psychiatric disorders or supervising Behavior Intervention Specialists, lead teachers, supervisors, consultants and/or equivalent position.
• Knowledge and experience conducting parent/family/caregiver/staff training.
• Must be able to travel across QSAC sites.
• Ability to run.
• Ability to safely assist lifting individuals of various weights & 20 lb items.
