Job summary

JL Family Services is seeking a Clinical Staff Therapist to provide flexible, hybrid mental health services in the Chicago area. The role supports individual, group, and family therapy with a focus on evidence-based modalities and client-centered care.

The position offers a part-time to full-time schedule with evenings and Saturdays as needed, along with a supportive team and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field (Clinical Psychology, Counseling, Social Work) and licensure or eligibility in IL.
• Experience providing mental health assessments and therapy to individuals.
• Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic modalities and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to diagnose conditions and develop treatment plans.
• Provide individual, group, and/or family therapy using evidence-based modalities.
• Collaborate with clients to set goals and monitor progress.
• Maintain accurate, confidential client records per legal/ethical standards.
• Participate in case conferences and clinical supervision to ensure high-quality care.
• Stay updated on current research and best practices in mental health.
• Refer clients to outside resources when needed.
• Participate in company-wide marketing efforts.
• Other duties as related to the role.

How you’ll Help

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to diagnose mental health conditions and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide individual, group, and/or family therapy using a variety of evidence‑based therapeutic modalities.
• Collaborate with clients to establish treatment goals and monitor progress.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
• Participate in case conferences and clinical supervision to ensure high‑quality care.
• Stay abreast of current research and best practices in the field of mental health.
• Refer clients to outside resources when required.
• Participate in company‑wide marketing efforts.
• Other duties as related the the role.

Your Qualifications

• Master's degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field; LPC, LSW, LCPC, LCSW
• Licensed or license‑eligible in the state of Illinois.
• Experience providing mental health assessment and therapy to individuals with a range of mental health conditions.
• Demonstrated proficiency in a variety of evidence‑based therapeutic modalities.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings and frequent Saturdays.
