Children’s Home & Aid in Chicago is seeking a Therapist/Counselor for our School‑Based Behavioral Health program at Family CARES Center to provide individual, group, and family therapy in a school-based setting.

As a Therapist/Counselor in our School‑Based Behavioral Health program, you'll provide clinical services to school‑aged children and their families at Family CARES Center in Chicago, IL. Individual therapy and group services are provided to children in a school‑based setting, and family therapy is provided in an agency office. We invite you to join our team of mission driven clinical staff, and we offer opportunities for growth and a focus on work/life balance. Therapists also coordinate services with other relevant providers, develop appropriate referral plans, and complete thorough and timely documentation, including assessment and service notes, using a web‑based client services platform.

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Clinical Psychology or a closely related field, required.
  • Eligible for clinical licensure in the state of Illinois (LCSW, LCPC or LMFT) and will obtain, and maintain, clinical Illinois license within 36 months of employment.
  • Obtains and maintains any applicable certifications based on program model and/or required by program funder, which may include Domestic Violence training, Trauma‑Based Relational Intervention, Play Therapy, or other modalities within one year of employment.
  • Experience with an evidence‑based or evidence‑informed treatment modality, such as Theraplay, the ARC framework, or other trauma‑informed practice preferred.
  • Valid driver's license, insurance, and a reliable vehicle required.

Job details:

  • Compensation: Salary Range $55,100-$57,100; Offers are commensurate with experience and bilingual candidates may receive additional financial compensation. The salary range provided represents our current estimate for this role at the time of posting and is subject to change. The final salary will be determined based on a range of factors, including but not limited to, a candidate's relevant experience, education, qualifications, skills, certifications, and alignment with organizational needs.   • Clinical licensure: Licensure‑eligible therapists receive weekly clinical supervision towards licensure, and reimbursement of clinical exam registration fees.
