Job Overview

UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a qualified Clinical Staff Pharmacist to join our Acute Care team. This full-time position offers a variable shift schedule and a $6000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (BS) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
• At least 1 year of pharmacy experience
• Eligible for licensure by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) within 30 days of hire
• Certifications: Sterile compounding (IV), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Job Responsibilities

1. Perform pharmacy duties in accordance with organizational policies, laws, and standards
2. Review medication orders for appropriateness and safety, document interventions
3. Manage medication profiles, update patient information, and ensure accuracy
4. Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and patients
5. Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff
6. Participate in clinical programs and quality improvement initiatives
7. Support formulary management and cost-effective medication use
8. Engage in ongoing professional development and training
