Job summary

Grady Health System in Atlanta seeks a Clinical Staff Manager to lead a unit's staff, develop clinical practice, and drive outcomes across people development, safety, quality, and throughput.

Reporting to Nursing Unit Directors, the CSM provides coaching, ensures optimal performance per shift, and cultivates a high‑performance culture aligned with Grady’s values.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
  • Active & Clear Georgia nursing license or Multistate nursing license.
  • Strong clinical assessment and triage skills.
  • Experience managing high-acuity, fast-paced environments.
  • ACLS, BLS, PALS certification; TNCC and ENPC preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a cohort of the unit's staff and supervise daily operations.
  • Develop clinical practice and ensure patient care quality and safety.
  • Provide feedback, coaching, and talent development to staff.
  • Ensure optimal unit performance, staffing, and throughput.

If you want to make a difference, we want to hear from you.Job SummaryThe Clinical Staff Manager (CSM), reporting to a multiple department Nursing Unit Director, is a direct supervisory leadership role that is a key member of the Nursing leadership team. The CSM leads a cohort of the assigned unit's staff members and actively participates in overall management of the unit, development of clinical practice, and provision of patient care with accountabilities for implementation and outcomes for people development, leadership, quality, service, compliance, finance, throughput and scheduling. The primary focus of the Clinical Staff Manager is to ensure the unit's optimal performance during each assigned shift and within their team of direct reports by engaging in effective problem solving for staff, patients and families and to develop/lead the assigned cohort.
