Description
The Clinical Staff Lead assists NorthShore clinical staff and is responsible for assessing, planning, and supervising under the guidance of the Regional Clinical Services Manager. The role requires expertise and adherence to NorthShore policies.
Essential Functions
- Provides coverage and support to clinical staff as needed
- Assists with training of new staff
- Facilitates quality control activities
- Completes assigned tasks from the Regional Clinical Services Manager
- Serves as the VFC liaison and point person for the health center
- Monitors staff compliance with policies and procedures
- Supports HRSA and OSHA regulation compliance
- Maintains and replenishes clinical inventory
- Monitors daily work assignments, including breaks and lunches
- Facilitates daily huddles in the absence of management
- Performs duties within your scope of practice
- Acts as an EHR superuser and supports staff
- Supervises staff in the absence or under direction of the manager
- Provides performance feedback to staff and communicates with management
- Supports implementation of new processes and procedures
- Maintains HIPAA standards and confidentiality

Work Environment
Work is performed in an office setting with frequent contact with patients and healthcare personnel. The environment may be stressful and interactions constant and interruptive.
Travel
Travel outside NorthShore locations is rare for this position.
Qualifications
Required Role Qualifications
- Minimum education per Indiana/HRSA standards
- Licensed or certified as Medical Assistant, LPN, APN, or RN
Preferred Role Qualifications
- Two years of healthcare experience
- Bilingual skills preferred

Visual and auditory requirements include normal vision and hearing without assistance. Employees may be exposed to infectious diseases, contact with patients, and are expected to wear PPE as necessary. Irregular working hours may occur.
