The University of Iowa's Center for Disabilities and Development is seeking a full-time Speech Pathologist I in Iowa City to diagnose and treat patients with communication disorders.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech Pathology required.
  • CCC-SLP or equivalent certification required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Some (6 months–1 year) experience in Speech Pathology desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and provide clinical services for patients with communication disorders.
  • Coordinate diagnostic results with other professionals (educational, medical, social, behavioral).
  • Plan, direct, conduct, or participate in habilitative and rehabilitative programs for communication.
  • Maintain functional, comprehensive patient records.
  • Instruct and supervise graduate students in speech pathology and audiology.
  • Train others in speech pathology techniques and procedures.
  • Participate in research to develop diagnostic and remedial techniques.
