Job summary

Tampa General Hospital in Florida seeks a Speech Language Pathologist to implement standards of care and evaluate, assess, and treat patients’ speech, voice, and language functions for rehabilitation.

You will perform detailed assessments, create tailored therapy plans, administer therapies, re-assess progress, maintain equipment and documentation, coordinate schedules, and collaborate with physicians and nurses to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
• Current Florida license or Compact State licensure required.
• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Minimum 1 year clinical experience.
• Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) preferred or eligible within one year.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed assessments of speech, language, swallowing, and communication disorders.
• Develop tailored therapy plans with clear short- and long-term goals.
• Administer evidence-based therapies and document progress.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other staff to coordinate care.
• Maintain accurate documentation for billing and compliance.
• Schedule and coordinate therapy sessions; manage cancellations.
• Report incidents and participate in quality and safety processes.
