Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join the team at MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC. The clinician will diagnose and treat speech-language and swallowing disorders, developing therapy plans and determining progression toward therapy goals.

Responsibilities include diagnostic evaluations, therapy planning, documentation, and interdepartmental collaboration with rehab teams. DC licensure within 90 days and ASHA credentials are expected.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• 1–2 years of progressively responsible job-related experience.
• ASHA certification or affiliation.
• SP-L — Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in DC within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provides comprehensive diagnostic evaluations for speech, language and swallowing disorders.
• Establishes treatment goals and creates therapy programs; assesses oral intake and alternate nutrition when needed.
• Documents tests, progress notes, and follows up with referrals and discharge planning.
