The position requires an advanced degree in Speech-Language Pathology, CFY completion, state licensure, and ASHA CCC certification.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited school.
• Completion of CFY (Clinical Fellowship year).
• Licensed SLP in MD, DC, and/or VA as deemed necessary for location.
• ASHA CCC certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides evaluation services including review of historical information, performance of assessments, and documentation of results; explains findings to patient and family and involves them in goals.
• Implements treatment protocols based on evaluation findings and patient presentation; consults with other healthcare professionals as needed; notes changes requiring modification of plan of care.
• Completes discharge planning and documents care; maintains accurate and timely documentation and charges.
• Manages scheduling and productivity; demonstrates flexibility and empathy to ensure frictionless access to care.
• Directs continuing education and serves as a clinical instructor; mentors new staff, students, and volunteers.

Education

Master’s or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)

Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in MD, DC, and/or VA

Primary Duties:

• Provides evaluation services including review of pertinenthistoricalinformation, performance of specific assessments, and determination of recommendations and documentation of results. Explains evaluation findings and treatmentplantopatientand family and incorporatespatientand family in the goals setting.
• Demonstratesproficiencyin implementation of treatment protocols based upon evaluation findings, the patient's presentation, and the evolving health care environment.Consultswith other healthcare professionals asindicated. Recognizes and documents changes in patient's condition requiring modification of the plan of care and/or the need for medical/rehabilitation consultation.
• Completesappropriate dischargeplanning and follow-up care. Accurately andtimelydocuments and charges for patient care activities considering our evolving health care environment, painting a clear picture of the patient's course of care including focusedinitialevaluation/plan of care thatestablishesbaseline and goals, daily encounter notes, interim progress summaries, and discharge evaluation.
• Demonstrates effective time management and meets productivity expectations. Managesan accurateschedule. Demonstrates a professional commitment to provide frictionless patient access to care through flexibility, adaptability, creativity, and actions/behaviors that display empathy in our patient consumer driven environment.
• Takes initiative in pursuing and directing continuing education for professional growth and competency for self and organization. Serves as a clinical instructor to assign students.Assistswith orientation and mentoring ofnew staff, students, and volunteers.

Qualifications:

• Master’s or Doctoral degree inSpeech-LanguagePathologyofan accredited school ofSpeech LanguagePathology.
• Completion of clinical fellowship year (CFY).
• Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in Maryland, District of Columbia (DC), and/or Virginia licensure asdeemednecessary for your specific location(s).
• American Speech Language Hearing Association Certificate of Clinical Competence.

This position has a hiring range of

USD $74,214.00 - USD $134,596.00 /Yr.
