Responsibilities

• Provides and directs Speech Therapy services to patients, including assessment and treatment per physician orders.
• Conducts screenings to determine need for intervention/treatment.
• Evaluates patients to obtain data for treatment planning and communicates findings to patients and families.
• Develops treatment plans with short and long term goals and implements them.
• Monitors patient progress and modifies treatment as indicated.
• Instructs patient, family and staff in use of communication devices and supports discharge planning.
