Job summary

Life Care Centers of America in Washington, DC area seeks a Speech Language Pathologist to provide direct speech therapy rehab to patients under physician referral, adhering to all laws and Life Care standards.

The role requires an MS/MA in Speech-Language Pathology, ASHA CCCs or CFY eligibility, and ongoing credential maintenance. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and email, plus strong patient communication, are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program in speech therapy (minimum MS or MA SLP).
• ASHA-certified (CCC) OR eligible for CFY in order to earn ASHA certification (CCCs) and/or meeting ASHA credentialing criteria.
• Once achieved, must maintain ASHA credentialing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
• Read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct rehab care in speech therapy to patients per physician referral and Life Care standards.
• Oversee and evaluate care for SLP CFYs where applicable.
• Implement and interpret department programs, goals, policies, and procedures.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with relevant laws and Life Care policies.
