Role Overview

The Clinical Specialist supports Neuromodulation Pain and Target Drug Delivery Therapies through surgical support, follow-up, troubleshooting, customer service, and education. This field-based role requires residence within the territory, with travel to multiple accounts and outside the region. A valid driver’s license is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent Medtronic during surgeries by ensuring equipment availability, providing technical support, and device programming/testing.
  • Manage patient care through all clinical phases and educate on product features and benefits.
  • Support surgeries, reprogramming, troubleshooting, and follow-ups in hospitals and clinics.
  • Train physicians and staff via sessions, in-services, seminars, and external events.
  • Respond to device-related inquiries professionally and promptly.
  • Maintain inventory, manage expenses, and contribute to regional goals.
  • Maintain knowledge of competitors, visit accounts regularly, and manage orders and POs.
  • Assist in training new employees and utilize technology tools effectively.
  • Travel within and outside the district as needed, including overnight stays.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED + 6 years clinical/medical sales experience, or
  • Associate's degree + 4 years experience, or
  • Bachelor’s degree + 2 years experience.

Preferred:

  • Healthcare-related degree, Master’s degree, RN or HCP with sterile environment experience, clinical experience with neurological devices, understanding of healthcare reimbursement, and excellent organizational skills.
Additional Job Requirements
  • Adhere to healthcare safety protocols, work flexible hours including weekends/evenings, and travel as needed.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs, stand/walk for long periods, and wear protective gear.
