ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS PERFORMED
- Provide clinical training to various groups such as Sales Representatives, Tech Teams, Merit employees, Cath lab and Radiology staff, and physicians on all Merit products.
- Answer clinical questions from doctors, technicians, sales representatives, etc.
- Work with Sales Representatives in the field or customers to conduct evaluations, consultations, or obtain complaint information.
- Follow up on previous product evaluations, conversions, or complaints that require additional information.
- Establish relationships and build confidence among lab staff, physicians, Sales Representatives, and customers.
- Ensure clinical details involving customer complaints are documented.
- Attend meetings to help determine which events/incidents require notification to regulatory authorities.
- Act as liaison between the lab/customers and Sales Representatives.
- Conduct assessment testing to ascertain the skill level of those trained, and develop training curricula and programs to improve knowledge, skill, and ability.
- Conduct ongoing staff training and provide clinical feedback to resolve customer-related issues.
- Support and train clinicians in the field on the use of Merit products and troubleshoot product-related issues.
- Assist with the rollout of new products, including educating Sales Representatives on features and benefits.
- Provide information on new technologies, procedures, and industry changes.
- Develop product training and procedural materials.
- Develop programs for labs to obtain CEU credits, in collaboration with external accrediting firms.
- Collaborate with the T.I.A. Department to improve existing products and develop new ones.
- Present at regional and national meetings regarding new products, procedures, and customer complaint requirements.
- Perform other related duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Education and/or business experience equivalent to a related Bachelor's Degree.
- Minimum of five years of hands-on medical experience.
- Education and clinical experience comparable to a Registered Nurse or Certified Cardiovascular or Radiology Technician preferred.
- Medical product sales and sales training experience preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to analyze feedback to develop strategies for improvement.
- Understanding of training and development techniques.
- Strong analytical skills to understand complex issues.
- Excellent organizational skills for coordinating large programs.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including spreadsheets, word processing, and databases.
Salary: $90,000-$120,000 plus bonus and benefits. Actual compensation varies based on location, skills, experience, and other factors.
