Job summary

Qualifications

  • Acts as the main contact for Prosthetics queries in assigned territory.

Job description

Scope/Job Summary

Leads the execution of work by defining and implementing operational and/or tactical plans based on the function’s strategy and business plans. Specifies new standards, processes, or products. Responsible for the clinical development and knowledge of the O&P customers and sales team within one of the four sales regions. Develops in-depth knowledge, expertise, and the ability to effectively demonstrate the full range of products and services. Collaborates with the sales team to coordinate and execute training events. Identifies opportunities for current product research, product development, and business growth. Responds to technical inquiries related to product returns, concerns, and complaints, assisting customers with solutions. Organization and presentation skills are critical for this position.

  • Has broad discretion in work deliverables and performance.
  • Understands the business, financials, products/services, and capability needs of the company.
  • Understands how Sales contributes to the larger organization.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as the main contact for your assigned territory for all Prosthetics queries.
  • Creates and executes business development and strategic plans to increase the Össur footprint and meet growth targets.
  • Develops and implements innovative prosthetic education training programs for customers with support from our Academy Lead.
  • Assists in developing information and reimbursement support resources for our products.
  • Supports product management and marketing initiatives, including new product launches.
  • Monitors industry and competitor products, scientific reviews, and presents at scientific congresses and forums as required.

Supervision

  • Sets plans and directions that may influence others within the department.
  • Provides non-managerial guidance to peers or junior employees.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
  • Certified Prosthetist & Orthotist (CPO).
  • Clinical experience in fitting advanced technologies to lower and upper extremity amputees.
  • Extensive experience in a clinical environment as a practicing prosthetist with regular exposure to end customers and case management.
