The State of Maine is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker to provide professional services including psychosocial assessments and individual therapy. This role involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to develop treatment plans and conduct research aimed at improving client outcomes. Candidates must possess a Master's Degree in Social Work and appropriate licensure from the Maine Board of Social Worker Licensure.
**This is inclusive of a .60¢/hr. stipend
This is professional services work involving the psychosocial assessment and treatment of clients and patients in State agencies, facilities, and community settings. Work includes performing diagnostic assessments, providing clinical input in client/staff consultations, developing psychosocial treatment plans, conducting research, and instructing students and staff. Work is performed under limited supervision.
In partnership with the Senior Psychologists on staff, and as part of a multidisciplinary team, the Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) will provide direct services including individual therapy, developing psychosocial treatment plans, assessment, providing clinical consultation to patients/staff, conducting research, and instructing students and staff. Work is performed under limited supervision, but with clinical oversight.
*LMSW-CC licensees with prior psychiatric experience may apply with the expectation to pass their LCSW exam and become fully licensed within one year of hire.
Licensure as a Clinical Social Worker as issued by the Maine State Board of Social Worker Licensure.
Dorothea Dix Psychiatric Center (DDPC) is a 69-bed psychiatric hospital serving the entire State of Maine, providing services for individuals with severe mental illness. As part of a statewide community of caregivers, DDPC collaborates with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness, their community and personal supports, to provide recovery-oriented, respectful, compassionate, and effective psychiatric care in the least restrictive, safest, and most therapeutic environment possible.
