Job summary

LinQ Global seeks a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW/LICSW/LMHC) for an inpatient behavioral health unit in Devens, MA. This 13-week on-site contract includes 40 hours per week and a normal day shift, collaborating with psychiatrists and floor clinicians to optimize short-term psychiatric care.

You will perform biopsychosocial assessments, provide individual/family therapy, and oversee discharge planning while navigating insurance and community resources.

Qualifications

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and clinically advanced Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our multidisciplinary inpatient behavioral health treatment team. In this role, you will serve as an integral voice in optimizing short-term psychiatric care, providing direct evidence-based counseling, case management, and system interventions for both patients and their families. Working in close partnership with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and floor clinicians, you will guide families through high-acuity psychiatric moments and spearhead comprehensive discharge and community aftercare planning strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Clinical Assessments & Planning: Conduct thorough clinical biopsychosocial assessments and lead multidisciplinary treatment planning loops rooted in patient strengths and psychiatric presenting problems.
• Direct Therapeutic Interventions: Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions utilizing advanced behavioral health treatment and family systems modalities.
• Discharge & Continuity of Care: Create and implement highly safe, strategic discharge paths by connecting patients directly with outside community resource agencies and programs.
• Utilization & Coordination: Manage basic insurance utilization reviews and act as the core liaison between the patient, legal guardians, hospital administration, and external support groups.
• Electronic Documentation: Maintain real-time, comprehensive documentation of patient goals, risk assessments, and clinical milestones within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) database.

Mandatory Position Requisites & Compliance Filters

• State Board Licensure: Must hold a currently active, unrestricted Massachusetts board registry as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker ( LCSW ), Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker ( LICSW ), or Licensed Mental Health Counselor ( LMHC ) in pristine standing.
• Required Education: Must possess a completed Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) , Counseling, or a closely related clinical mental health field.
• Specialty Certification: Must hold or be willing to obtain a Child & Adolescent Needs & Strengths (CANS) Certification within 30 days of contract launch.
• Experience Parameters: Prior professional clinical experience operating within an acute inpatient behavioral health, short-term crisis stabilization unit, or acute care hospital setting is preferred.
• Technical Literacy: Sufficient computer navigation and typing skills to smoothly facilitate charting inside Electronic Health Records (EHR platforms, with Medsphere/Vista experience preferred).
• Language Skills: Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly preferred but not mandatory.
• Work Authorization Status: US Citizen (USC) or active Permanent US Work Authorization (Green Card/EAD) only. (No international visa sponsorship or remote accommodations are available).
