Job summary

Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC seeks a Clinical Social Worker (Level I/II) to provide psychosocial assessments, treatment planning, and discharge planning in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include crisis intervention, individual/family/group therapy, case coordination, and education for patients and families. Eligible candidates hold a Master’s in Social Work and an LCSW in NC; Level II requires leadership and five years post-master’s experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited school.
• Current LCSW credential from NC Social Work Certification and Licensure Board.
• Two years post-internship social work experience required.
• Two years post-master’s clinical experience preferred.
• Level II requires five years post-master’s experience.
• Leadership and staff supervision experience encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments of patients and families.
• Develop and implement individualized psychosocial treatment plans.
• Crisis intervention and, when appropriate, individual, family, marital, and group therapy.
• Coordinate pre- and post-hospital services and connect patients with community resources.
• Document assessments, treatment plans, interventions, and encounters per departmental standards.
• Level II: provide clinical and administrative supervision and lead team meetings.
