The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities is seeking a Social Service Provider/PRN (MSW, LMSW or LCSW) for Georgia Regional Hospital - Atlanta in Decatur, GA. Varying shifts including weekends, with compensation $32-$40 per hour.

You will provide psycho-social support, patient education and counseling, coordinate services and referrals to community resources to support recovery and improve quality of life for individuals with mental health or developmental needs.

Qualifikationen

• MSW required; LMSW/LCSW preferred.
• One year experience in an acute psychiatric hospital/behavioral health setting.
• Extensive knowledge of Mental Health community resources and discharge planning.
• Some knowledge of Mental Health Recovery concept and forensic services.

Aufgaben

• Acts as client advocate to coordinate required services or resolve crises.
• Counsels clients in individual and group sessions to help them cope and recover.
• Identifies environmental impediments to client progress via interviews and records.
• Monitors, evaluates, and records client progress per care plan.
• Organizes support groups or counsels family members to assist understanding and support.
• Performs clinical assessments of behavioral health needs.
• Provides case management related to identified treatment needs.
• Trains direct care staff in behavior modification and treatment plans.
• Refers clients to community resources for services such as housing, education or legal aid.
