Samuel Merritt University in Oakland is seeking a part-time Clinical Skills Lab Coordinator to support the HSSC labs, ensuring equipment, supplies, and environment enable optimal learning for nursing and health sciences students.

This role coordinates daily calendars, assists with operation of task trainers, manikins and IV pumps, maintains inventory, performs routine housekeeping and minor repairs, and collaborates with CSL Lab Manager for open lab hours.

Competenze

• 2+ years of experience with Word and Excel
• 1+ years navigating the Internet for research
• Demonstrated commitment to service excellence
• Demonstrated administrative, organizational & priorities skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently
• Familiarity with medical supplies and equipment preferred
• Two years' work experience in a clinical setting preferred
• Previous experience in a laboratory environment preferred
• Familiarity with Microsoft Teams and PowerApps

Mansioni

• Monitor daily HSSC calendars and assist in setup/cleanup of equipment for Clinical Skills/Health Assessment/Physical Diagnosis labs
• Assist faculty and students with operations of skills equipment (task trainers, manikins, IV pumps)
• Perform routine maintenance checks and minor repairs
• Organize supplies and maintain inventory using the HSSC inventory system
• Perform routine cleaning of equipment
• Collaborate to provide supplies for open lab hours for nursing students
• Maintain a safe learning environment
• Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and enforce proper usage
• Attend HSSC staff meetings
• Perform other duties as required
• Provide cross-coverage for simulation setups and turnovers
• Run basic simulation equipment and software (recording in EMS, Laerdal high-fidelity manikins)
• Assist with simulations during absences
