Job summary

Grand Canyon University seeks a dynamic Clinical Site Development Specialist to build and sustain a robust network of nursing clinical sites and preceptors. You will coordinate affiliation agreements and serve as the primary liaison with partners across diverse health care settings.

You will collaborate with academic and field teams to ensure compliance, supervise preceptor and faculty training events, and expand partnerships in rural and underserved communities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or allied health care or health sciences discipline preferred.
  • Master's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a sustainable pipeline of clinical sites and preceptors for nursing students.
  • Serve as the point of contact and liaison for all clinical sites utilized by the University.
  • Establish and secure clinical sites needed to implement the clinical component of nursing programs.
  • Develop established accounts and new clinical sites.
  • Meet or exceed target activity levels for territory development.
  • Maintain records of site development activities, including calling strategies, initial appointments, and on-site meetings depending on location.
  • Obtain and execute new clinical site affiliation agreements.
  • Ensure established sites within the assigned territory have active agreements on file.
  • Collaborate with College of Nursing and Health Care Professions and Field Experience staff, faculty, and community partners to ensure clinical site compliance.
  • Organize and manage required preceptor, student, and faculty training events.
  • Increase partnerships and contracts with rural, private, community, and hospital-based clinics, emphasizing uninsured and underserved populations.

Job description

  • Work within a defined territory to develop and maintain a sustainable pipeline of clinical sites and preceptors for GCU nursing students
  • Serve as the point of contact and liaison for all clinical sites utilized by the University

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or allied health care or health sciences discipline preferred
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Must have own vehicle, valid driver's license, and clean driving record
  • Ability to develop business relationships with health care professionals
  • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills with strong constituency-building skills
  • Action- and results-oriented, self-starter, self-directed, and self-motivated; able and willing to work without daily oversight
  • Good negotiation and persuasiveness skills
  • Experience with contract negotiation and understanding of clinical compliance preferred
  • Strong planning and organizational skills to meet or exceed enrollment projections and expectations
  • Confident, high-energy, and capable of launching new territories successfully, if necessary
  • Knowledge of higher-learning environments and programs
  • Computer/office software proficiency including MS Office Suite
  • Cannot be delinquent or in default on a federal student loan; if in a rehabilitation program, credit report must reflect current payments
