Job summary
Jacksonville University is seeking a Simulationist to manage the daily operations of the KEIGWIN School of Nursing STAR Center and Clinical Skills Lab. The role supports experiential learning for nursing and healthcare students and partners with faculty, staff, and IT to ensure high-quality simulations.
The Simulationist collaborates on curriculum delivery, maintains equipment, and analyzes outcomes to drive improvements in clinical education.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; nursing or related healthcare preferred
- Simulation experience required or preferred
- Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator/Operator preferred or pursuing
Responsibilities
- Facilitate daily operations of STAR Center and Clinical Skills Lab
- Collaborate with faculty and partners to maximize learning opportunities
- Set up/break down equipment and simulators for courses
- Operate simulation software and audiovisual equipment
- Collect and analyze course feedback to improve learning outcomes
- Engage in grant/contract activities as designated
- Maintain laboratory cleanliness and safety per OSHA standards
- Participate in professional development and meetings
- Mentor students in the lab
- Perform related duties as assigned
