Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a Clinical Services Associate to support practice managers and physicians. The role blends Medical Assistant and Patient Services Associate duties to maintain patient-centered care and meet operational targets.

The CSA will assist with patient care, clerical tasks, and coordination across clinical and administrative functions, contributing to high-quality care and smooth patient experiences at Penn Medicine.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years medical office or relevant customer service experience.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Associate degree may be required for certain roles.
• CMA or RMA certification required or pending within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, review medical history, obtain vital signs, and assist with procedures.
• Telephonic patient care, care coordination, document preparation and follow-ups.
• Adhere to infection control policies and sterilize instruments.
• Schedule appointments, collect copays, manage insurance, and arrange referrals/pre-authorizations.
• Reconcile cash, generate reports, and monitor billing queues.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards.
