Job summary

Penn Medicine in Phoenixville, PA is seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join a busy family medicine practice with a strong team environment and long-tenured staff.

This Temp-to-Hire opportunity requires 2 years CMA experience, offers 10-hour shifts over 4 days per week, and the ability to convert to a full-time Penn Medicine staff position. EMR via EPIC is preferred, with on-site, in-person interview.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years CMA experience in a physician office or outpatient setting.
• Certified Medical Assistant credential required.
• Ability to work Monday–Friday with flexible 10-hour shifts.
• Willingness to convert to a full-time Penn Medicine staff position after the temporary assignment.
• Strong patient-care and clinical skills.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and prepare them for provider visits.
• Obtain and document patient vital signs.
• Perform phlebotomy and other clinical support duties.
• Use the EMR to alert providers when patients are ready.
• Review and document past medical, surgical, family and medication histories.
• Provide additional clinical and administrative support as assigned.
• Maintain a patient-focused and professional approach in a busy family practice environment.

Shift: Core hours between 7:45 AM and 5:00 PM; flexibility required. Exact schedule will be discussed during the interview.

Position Overview

Client is seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join a busy family medicine practice with a strong team environment and long-tenured staff.

Commute Requirement: Candidates should be able to commute to the practice within 30 minutes or less.

Key Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• 2 years of CMA experience in a physician office or outpatient medical practice setting.
• Strong clinical and patient-care skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Must be flexible with the Monday–Friday schedule.
• Must be interested in converting to a full-time Penn Medicine staff position after the temporary assignment.

Preferred Qualifications

• EPIC EMR experience is a plus and should be clearly highlighted on the resume.
• Previous family medicine or primary care experience preferred.

Training

• EMR Training: Friday, 8:00 AM–1:00 PM, including a 1-hour break.
• Penn HIPAA Module: Approximately 15 minutes.
