Shift: Monday - Friday; eight hour day shift with flexible start timeDepartment: Endoscopy CenterCompensation:




Base Pay Range:$19.15 - $30.23 per hour, based on experience.

Candidates must have two (2) years of scheduling, clerical, office, or healthcare-related work experience, and one of the following certifications or licensures: Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), ; Certified Medical Assistant (CMA); Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), Medical Assistant (NCMA), or Missouri Board of Nursing LPN or Nurse Licensure Compact multi-state LPN. DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION






  1. Manages numerous and complex schedules and templates for service requested.

  2. Efficiently manages and coordinates the overall scheduling of medicalprocedures, ensuring optimal utilization of resources and minimal patient waittimes.

  3. Utilizes financial and clinical information technology programs for scheduling,documentation, and managing patient information.

  4. Acts as a primary point of contact for patients, providing clear informationregarding their scheduled procedures, answering questions, and addressingconcerns.

  5. Proactively identifies and resolves scheduling conflicts, patient inquiries, andother issues that may arise, maintaining a high level of customer service.

  6. Collaborates effectively with physicians and nursing staff to ensure accurateand timely communication regarding patient needs, procedure preparations, andfollow-up care.

  7. Utilizes clinical knowledge to document and relay clinical information topatients, including appropriately utilizing clinical protocols within the scopeof practice.

  8. May complete unit/department-specific duties as outlined in departmentdocuments.




REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS







  1. Two (2) years of scheduling, clerical, office, or healthcare related work experience.




  2. One of the following certifications or licensures:





--ClinicalClinicalMedical Assistant (CCMA) by the NationalHealthcareerAssociation (NHA); or




--Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA); or




--Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) by the American Medical Technologists (AMT); or




--Medical Assistant (NCMA) by the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT); or




--Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) by the National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP); or




--Medical Assistant Certification (MAC) by the American Medical Certification Association (AMCA); or




--Missouri Board of Nursing LPN or Nurse Licensure Compact multi-state LPN. When primary state of residency changes, compact state LPNs must apply under new state of residency within thirty (30) days.





PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS







  • Scheduling experience in a hospital or clinic environment is highly preferred.




  • Clinic experience in CMA or LPN role.




  • Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.
