Job summary

PlasmaSource, a subsidiary of Vitalant, is seeking a Registered Nurse to conduct specialty cell collections and provide clinical oversight in the center in Aurora, IL. The part-time position offers 20 hours per week with two 10-hour shifts and weekend rotation.

Responsibilities include executing trained procedures, coordinating necessities, monitoring donor status, and educating patients and donors. Requirements include an Associate Degree in Nursing,-state RN license, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing or Diploma required.
• RN license in state of practice required.
• Current CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform specialty cell collections and provide clinical oversight.
• Process therapeutic orders and coordinate procedure necessities.
• Monitor patient status and blood loss during intraoperative procedures.
• Provide patient and donor education and support.
• Deliver therapeutic interventions as needed and participate in training in apheresis.
