Responsibilities

• Performs nursing assessments and implements care using evidence-based practice
• Coordinates care with interdisciplinary team and families to reflect cultural diversity
• Partners with patients and families, using bedside shift reports and rounds to align goals with care plan
• Practices using current clinical practice standards
• Coordinates delivery and documentation of safe, quality patient care
• Participates in performance improvement initiatives and clinical champion activities
• Completes ongoing competency assessments and education
• Acts as a preceptor/mentor to students and staff
• Promotes evidence-based practice and nursing research and evaluates patient care products
