Responsibilities

• Initiates, coordinates and manages all investigational and evaluation activities for professional liability and general liability exposures.
• Follows ISO 31000 enterprise risk management framework for risk identification, analysis, mitigation and monitoring.
• Manages incident reporting database documentation of events and monitors for patient harm events.
• Implements the risk management program in compliance with laws and accreditation standards; drafts policies/procedures as needed.
• Provides clinical risk management consultation to physicians and employees; presents trend reports to management.
• Collaborates with departments to establish quality and safety goals; participates in hospital quality committees.
• Performs special projects involving data gathering, reports, and presentations; engages in professional organization activities.
