Job summary

Legacy Health is seeking a Risk Manager to bridge Risk Management and Patient Relations, reducing risk and resolving concerns while ensuring patient safety. You will leverage healthcare standards of practice, investigation skills and strong communication to support Legacy’s mission.

You will identify and mitigate losses, investigate incidents, provide consultation, and train clinical personnel on risk management practices. Clinical experience is required and licensure is preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of healthcare risk management and standards of practice.
• Familiarity with liability insurance concepts and regulatory requirements.
• Investigative interviewing, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify, mitigate and control losses related to patient and visitor injuries.
• Support clinical risk management and patient safety activities and educate staff.
• Investigate incidents, adverse events and potentially compensable events.
• Provide real-time risk management consultation and site training as needed.
