IHA is seeking a Risk Management RN to help ensure a safer hospital and clinic environment by investigating events, EMTALA concerns, and patterns in claims. You will review medical records and security materials, interview staff and patients, and document findings from a medical-legal perspective.
The role requires a valid RN license in the applicable state, a BSN is preferred, and at least five years of clinical RN experience.
This position is responsible for providing a safer hospital and clinic environment by mitigating or reducing risks for all individuals within the organization. The incumbent serves as a resource for all colleagues and providers on medical/legal concerns. This position investigates Event Reports and EMTALA related concerns and identifies major trending patterns. This position analyzes allegations of claims and complaints against the organization, and corresponding documentation (including medical record review, security reports/video, etc.). The incumbent interviews employees, patients, families, and physicians for details of events, and documents chronological summaries of events and research processes in a medical/legal perspective. This position also participates in the risk management reduction strategies with the Risk Management team.

Pay Range $48.56 - $72.85
