Job summary

Houston Methodist is actively seeking a Clinical Resource Nurse who will act as a population-specific clinician and patient advocate, helping patients and families navigate the health care system within the hospital’s programs.

This role emphasizes leadership, education, and program growth, coordinating care across service lines and participating in governance activities to improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Three years of direct clinical nursing patient care in an acute care or specialty setting.
• Leadership, Charge or Coordinator experience.
• RN license in Texas with PSV Compact; permanent Texas license within 60 days.
• BLS certification (AHA)

Responsibilities

• Develops strong relationships with physicians and healthcare providers to ensure effective communication in patient care.
• Acts as a subject matter expert consultant to interprofessional team members; develops educational information for nursing units.
• Serves as a patient advocate and facilitates interventions to alleviate patient/family distress.
• Contributes to nurse satisfaction and engagement through mentorship and communication coaching.
