Job summary

North Suffolk Community Services Inc. seeks a Clinical Residential Program Director to lead the adult Community Clinical Services group home program in Chelsea and Boston.

You will provide administrative leadership, clinical oversight, and direction for all team members. You’ll hire residential staff, supervise operations, implement safety and crisis plans, and use evidence-based practices to promote recovery.

Qualifications

• LPHA licensure required: LICSW, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, LRC, LADC1, LABA, RN, OT, psychologist, or MD.
• Five (5) years of clinical experience preferred; two (2) years supervisory experience required.
• Must obtain MA MAP & CPR/First Aid within five (5) months of hire; MA driver's license required.

• Ensure day-to-day operations of the group home program align with psychiatric rehabilitation principles.
• Identify personal priorities and goals with individuals to support recovery.
• Engage in recovery-promoting interactions and empowerment.
• Develop and implement Safety Plans and Crisis Prevention & Response Plans.
• Lead hiring for residential staff and ensure proper orientation and training.
• Participate in on-call rotation.

Salary Range: $75,190.00 To $89,781.00 Annually

As a Clinical Residential Program Director for North Suffolk Community Services, you’ll be in charge of an intensive group living environment within the Adult Community Clinical Services Program. The Residential Program Director provides administrative leadership, clinical oversight, supervision and direction for all team members.

Positions available in Chelsea & Boston.

What you'll do:

• Manage employee efforts to engage people and partner with them to improve their health and wellness, achieve symptom stabilization and self-management, develop and/or restore skills impacted by mental illness and live a self-directed life.
• Ensure that day to day operations of the group home program are grounded in the philosophy and techniques of psychiatric rehabilitation.
• Assist people with psychiatric and substance use disorders to identify personal priorities, preferences, strengths, and interests in order to help them establish goals that support a life in recovery.
• Instill hope by engaging in positive interactions that promote recovery and empowerment.
• Collaborate in the development and implementation of Safety Plans and Crisis Prevention and Response Plans in order to help prevent and mitigate risk factors
• Use evidence based practices including motivational interviewing.
• Advocate that persons need to make informed choices to further their own recovery.
• Advocate for better access to public services and natural supports for persons in order to facilitate their recovery and full integration into the community.
• Lead the hiring process for residential staff and ensures that all staff are properly oriented and are trained in all mandatory trainings.
• Participate in the on-call rotation.

What you’ll need:

• Education/Licensure:
  • LPHA licensure is required for this role: LICSW, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, LRC, LADC1, LABA, R.N., Registered Occupational Therapist, licensed Psychologist, or MD
• Experience:
  • Experience working in the provision of clinical or rehabilitative services to adults with chronic and persistent mental health issues and substance use disorders required; five (5) years experience preferred.
  • Two (2) years supervisory experience required.
• Skills:
  • Must obtain Massachusetts MAP & CPR/First Aide certification within five (5) continuous months of hire (training provided).
  • Valid Mass driver’s license required.
