Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of clinical research experience.
• 2+ years in leadership within Clinical Research.
• Experience with FDA, ICH-GCP, IRBs, and budgeting.
• Experience developing SOPs and quality improvement initiatives.
• Ability to manage monitoring visits and audits.

Job description

We are seeking a Clinical Research Unit Supervisor to oversee HIV and infectious disease clinical trials, supervise research staff, and manage study operations from startup through closeout. This role ensures compliance with FDA, ICH-GCP, and institutional requirements while partnering with investigators, sponsors, and research teams to support successful study execution.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of clinical research experience
• 2+ years of leadership experience within Clinical Research
• Experience with:
• Industry and PI-initiated trials
• Local and external IRBs
• Interventional drug trials
• Knowledge of clinical trial budgeting processes
• Experience developing SOPs, quality improvement initiatives, and operational processes
• Ability to manage monitoring visits and audits in compliance with FDA, GCP, ICH, and sponsor requirements
• Strong understanding of IRB, FDA, and federal regulations
• Proficiency with Microsoft and Adobe Suite

Preferred Qualifications

• NIH-funded trial experience
• HIV and/or infectious disease clinical trial experience
• Academic or large hospital background
• Knowledge of DAIDS policies and procedures
• Experience with Epic EMR and OnCore
• Clinical Research Certification (CCRP, ACRP, etc.)
• Experience with GCLP standards
