Job summary

The University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) Marlene & Stewart Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center (UMGCCC) seeks a full-time Clinical Research Specialist for the Hematologic Malignancies program. You will screen, consent, and enroll patients, guide them through visits, and support data collection and analysis in cutting-edge therapeutic trials.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a scientific field related to clinical settings.
Three (3) years of clinical research experience including two (2) years in relevant specialization.
Substitution options: other education/experience with specified equivalencies.

Responsibilities

Screen, consent, and enroll subjects per protocol.
Coordinate IRB/HIPAA protocol development and compliance.
Interact with participants, collect medical histories, and obtain samples as needed.
Maintain databases and run data quality checks using Excel/Access.
Perform data analysis with SAS, SPSS, and R; manage data collection and interpretation.
Communicate protocol information with participants and team members.
Oversee daily clinical research operations and budgets; liaise with IRB and sponsors.
Assist in grants, publications, and research study design.
