Responsibilities

We are seeking a Clinical Research Specialist to support research efforts within the Barrow Center for Neuromodulation (BCN). Neuromodulation involves altering nerve activity through targeted stimuli, such as electrical stimulation or chemical agents, at specific neurological sites. This growing field helps restore function or relieve symptoms for various neurological conditions. At BCN, current studies include Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) for Parkinson’s disease, Essential tremor, Dystonia, Epilepsy, OCD, and Spinal Cord Stimulation (SCS) for chronic pain, as well as DBS effects on memory and cognition. This is an exciting area for candidates interested in advancing their research careers.

• Coordinate and schedule subject visits, ensuring availability of supplies, procedures, and investigators.
• Provide individualized education to study subjects and families.
• Obtain all necessary subject consents.
• Collect and process protocol-required specimens.
• Act as a liaison between Sponsor, Investigator, and Study Subject.
• Collect study data and complete CRFs accurately and promptly.
• Maintain study documents in compliance with applicable regulations (FDA, OHRP, IRB).
• Identify adverse events and report them to ensure subject safety.
• Demonstrate professional interactions with sponsors, monitors, and departments to ensure customer service.
• Comply with all regulatory and policy requirements.

Qualifications

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of related experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Associates degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

Preferred

• Three years of clinical research experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
