Augusta University seeks an Assistant Professor in Psychiatry and Health Behavior to serve as a Clinical/Research Psychologist. The role centers on developing and conducting clinical research on psychedelic-assisted therapies while maintaining limited clinical practice, within a multidisciplinary program.

The candidate will lead trial design, implementation, and expansion of innovative clinical studies, mentoring staff and contributing to grant proposals and peer-reviewed publications.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from an APA-accredited program and APA internship.
• Licensed or license-eligible as a psychologist in Georgia.
• Demonstrated record of peer-reviewed publications and clinical research.

Responsibilities

• Develop and conduct clinical research studies involving psychedelic administration and related psychiatric interventions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary investigators across Augusta University and external research partners.
• Provide leadership and supervision for research staff and trainees.
• Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at meetings.
• Assist in preparation of grant applications and extramural funding proposals.
