Job Summary
The Department of Psychiatry and Health Behavior in the Medical College of Georgia is seeking a faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor to support the academic mission of the Augusta University and East Central Regional Hospital partnership. The successful candidate will work with the ECRH Clinical Director to develop responsibilities related to the delivery of clinical services at ECRH, ensuring compliance with institutional policies and regulatory standards. This position is not on a tenure track.
Responsibilities
- Dept Attendance – 10%
Attend 80% of departmental functions and activities, including education and student events.
- Education – 30%
- Support recruitment for new residents, fellows, psychiatrists, psychology interns, post‐docs, faculty psychologists, and nurses.
- Participate in the delivery of clinical services for psychology in alignment with ECRH’s mission.
- Assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring the efficiency and effectiveness of all psychology services.
- Clinical – 60%
- Promote the development and utilization of the Recovery Model within ECRH treatment services.
Required Qualifications
- PhD, PsyD, or equivalent related degree from an accredited institution.
- Early‑level career as an Assistant Professor with appropriate postgraduate training.
- Evidence of teaching ability and scholarly activity.
- Successful experience that meets USG institution requirements.
