Job summary

University of South Florida is seeking a grant-funded project coordinator to supervise research personnel, manage study documents and budgets, and ensure milestone delivery across departments.

The role requires coordinating with IT, pharmacy, nursing, physician groups, and administration while delivering staff training and maintaining project documentation. On-site presence and travel within the health system are required.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a field directly related to the program responsibilities and two years of professional experience; or a Master’s degree in an area of specialization.
• Strong organizational, communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience in substance use disorder research, behavioral health, emergency medicine, clinical research, or healthcare operations.

Responsibilities

• Reviews grant/contract and develops project plan with resources, timelines, stakeholders and deliverables.
• Develop the project schedule and plan to ensure timely completion of the project.
• Obtain management and client agreement with the project plan and timeline and advise on obstacles or resource needs.
• Assemble the project team and allocate resources based on each member’s skills and abilities.
• Defines and disseminates methods for communication of project status.
• Communicate project goals, monitor progress, and adjust resources to stay on track.
• Apply project management tools to manage all aspects of progress.
• Develop operational policies and training documents and document best practices.
• Analyze client needs and evaluate potential solutions, define project specifications and requirements.
• Design integrated solutions including tools, trainings, reports, and related systems.
• Structure, implement, and maintain defined operational standards.
• Establish policies, standards and procedures for accessible project status.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
