The Medical College of Wisconsin is seeking a Manager, Clinical Research to lead the Ophthalmology & Visual Science human subjects research program. You will build processes to launch, execute, and grow high-quality research while ensuring regulatory compliance and data integrity.

You will recruit and mentor staff, develop dashboards, manage budgets, and provide guidance on study protocol development. This role emphasizes collaboration across departments and external agencies.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: Bachelor's degree.
• Minimum experience: 6 years in clinical research.
• Preferred: Master's degree.
• Experience in ophthalmology research and personnel management preferred.
• Required certifications: CCRP, CCRC, or ACRP-CP.
• CITI training within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, and supervise clinical research coordinators; set expectations and evaluate performance.
• Advise investigators on regulatory aspects of human subjects research.
• Develop and maintain dashboards for transparency and accountability.
• Develop and manage budgets for sponsored trials and investigator-initiated research.
• Develop policies, procedures, and tools to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide project/protocol development guidance; oversee reference materials and training.
• Coordinate committees and perform study coordination for select projects.
