Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Clinical Research Assistant to coordinate investigator-initiated transplant studies within the Department of Surgery. You will ensure study elements and tests are performed per protocol and support study visits.

You will also obtain informed consent, maintain documentation, screen patients, and assist with data entry and case report forms in the research databases, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GCP and IRB requirements.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma and four years of relevant program experience. A bachelor’s degree may be substituted for the required program experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure study-required clinical elements and tests are conducted and collected per protocol.
• Obtain and document informed consent under the direction of the Principal Investigator; maintain informed consent documents.
• Screen and prescreen potential patients; maintain screening and enrollment logs; provide updates to the study team.
• Complete case report forms and other source documents; create simple data collection forms.
• Perform data entry to study databases; resolve study-specific queries within the EDC system.
