Job summary

Responsibilities

• Recruits and screens patients for enrollment eligibility and participation in research projects.
• Prepares flowcharts, study source documents, and collects/records data on case report forms; creates databases and enters data.
• Serves as a research resource to subjects, families, and healthcare providers, maintaining privacy and confidentiality.
• Promotes knowledge of current professional practice and research standards, laws and regulations affecting human subjects research.
• Facilitates collaboration with other departments to support research across the continuum.
• Coordinates data for sponsor review during site visits; assists study monitors in chart and CRF reviews.
• Maintains files and study documentation per standards.
• Participates in smoking cessation intervention delivery, including training to become a quit coach and delivering coaching sessions.
• Monitors data quality and dashboards; troubleshoots data-related issues with participants and collaborators.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Description

1. Recruits and screens patients for enrollment eligibility and participation in research projects. Obtains consent for participation in accordance with all government regulations and internal policies/procedures.

2. Prepares flowcharts, study specific source documents, and collects/records subject data on case report forms. Creates databases and performs date entry into the database.

3. Serves as a research resource to subjects, families, and other healthcare providers regarding the needs of study and subjects family preserving patient/subject privacy and maintaining confidentiality of subject information.

4. Promotes knowledge of current professional practice and research standards, laws and regulations that affect human subjects research.

5. Facilitates and improves collaboration with other departments to facilitate research across the continuum.

6. Coordinates/collects requested data for sponsor review during site visits. Assists study monitor(s) in chart and case report form review.

7. Maintains files and study documentation according to institutional and regulatory standards

8. The incumbent will participate in the smoking cessation intervention delivery. This will include training to become a quit coach and delivering quit coaching sessions to study participants.

9. This position will monitor incoming data to ensure a high level of quality. This will include monitoring data dashboards, as well as working with participants and collaborators to troubleshoot any data-related issues.

10. Performs other duties as assigned.
