Job summary

Actalent is hiring a Phlebotomist for a contract position based in Hialeah, FL. The role involves drawing blood by venipuncture per study schedules, recording collection details, and ensuring supplies are ready.

You will label specimens, follow OSHA and GCP guidelines, take vital signs as needed, and maintain accurate documentation. A High School diploma with phlebotomy or Medical Assistant certification and BLS is required, with at least 1.5 years of experience in phlebotomy or as Medical

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Technical school phlebotomy or Medical Assistant Certification is a must.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Minimum of 1.5 years of experience as a Medical Assistant or in phlebotomy in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture to draw blood specimens as per study schedules.
• Record and maintain detailed records of blood draws and specimen collections per SOPs.
• Assist with labeling and preparation of blood collection tubes.
• Ensure all blood collection tubes, equipment, and supplies are ready before blood draw times.
• Take and record accurate vital signs, and report any abnormalities.
• Follow proper phlebotomy and laboratory procedures compliant with OSHA regulations and Good Clinical Practices.
• Read and understand all study protocols and schedules.
• Familiarity with clinical trials.
