CenExel RCA in Hollywood, FL is seeking a Patient Care Technician I for the DAY shift (7am to 7pm) on a PRN/part-time basis to support psychiatric research participants in clinical trials.

Under supervision, you will address psychosocial needs, assist with ADLs, meals, medications (as allowed by certification), and help with discharge planning and transportation. The role emphasizes compassionate care, strict adherence to protocols, and teamwork in a clinical research setting.

Formación

• Must communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0–2 years experience in healthcare.
• Strong teamwork and consensus-building skills.
• Ability to effectively resolve conflict and cope with crisis situations.
• Ability to multitask with meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and maintain professional boundaries.
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule.

Responsabilidades

• Assesses research participants' psychosocial needs and identifies case management needs.
• Observes and reports personality and/or behavior changes in subjects.
• Interacts closely with clients to assist problem solving and de-escalate when upset.
• Assists with ADLs and meals per protocol.
• Provides subjects with meals and snacks and assists with meal prep and ordering.
• Assists subjects with laundry and housekeeping tasks as needed.
• Assists with nightly room and equipment checks.
• Assists with dispensing medications (if certified) as instructed by MD.
• Coordinates discharge planning and transportation.
• Develops relationships with agencies to support participants’ services.
• Develops and manages weekly groups focusing on psychosocial needs.
• Updates database on discharge or study termination to ensure info is accurate.
